If you're purchasing one of Pentair's FNS+ DE filters, you'll want to purchase this item. This is the standard push-pull back-wash valve that goes with the filter. Better than that, it is easier, cheaper, and more robust than a multi-port valve.

Description

This is Pentair's most popular valve (Part number 261165, which has now been changed to 263064). Functional and economical, yet versatile and rugged. Simply screws hand-tight onto your filter. Comes with two inch inlet and outlet ports which can easily be reduced to 1-1/2 inches. Lower backwash port can be cemented to point in any direction and a clear pipe allows you to see dirty water and DE or sand as it's expelled. Lower handle position is for DE filters and upper position is for sand filters and Pentair Quad filters. Use with the following Pentair/Pac-Fab filters only: FNS, FNS Plus, Nautilus, Nautilus Plus. Can also be used on Pentair Triton and Quad DE filters.
